Our Story
Remeaid Pharmaceuticals is a family-owned company, operated by (3) three sisters namely, Shahida Frutos (Registered Druggist and Chemist), Shamira Frutos (General Manager), and Switzvanie Frutos (Product sourcing). We are a very tight-knit family; we support one another, and our strength and growth come from a collected hardworking family unit. Our father and mother, Mr. & Mrs. Amir and Yolanda Frutos are present as well, and they provide needed guidance. The family has been in the pharmaceutical business for 15 years since July 2008 owning, “HealthSmart Pharmacy Plus,” located at 87 A George Price Highway, Santa Elena Town, Cayo District, Belize, Central America. We continue to serve the community; the twin towns of San Ignacio and Santa Elena and surrounding villages faithfully.
It has been a long-term goal of the family to open a wholesale/ distribution business. The Covid-19 pandemic was a dramatic and life-learning experience for the family, as I bet it was for all of you. It pushed us forward to start the company and think outside the box to get things going. The wholesale/ distribution business officially commenced in June 2021 starting with the sale of hygienic products, baby items, beauty products, and so forth which compliments a pharmacy well. We had sold these products for years at our own pharmacy and hence, their potential for wholesale was evident. It led the way for the sale of pharmaceuticals thereafter.
The company and its founders continue to persevere in this uncharted business venture and are delighted in contributing to the health and wellness of our communities and our country, Belize.
Our Brand, Logo and Slogan

Remeaid Pharmaceuticals, is the parent company, which sells over-the-counter medications, vitamins and supplements, antibiotics, medical devices, and equipment. Remeaid Wholesale is a sister company, which sells beauty, hygienic, baby, toiletries, body care, and other pharmacy-related products in the category of health, wellness, and self-care. Hence, there are two brands/ logos.

REMEAID derives from the words, "Remedy" which relates to products sold for health and self-care purposes, and "Aid" which is our company's purpose to help and serve others. Our logo depicts the silhouette of the letter "R" which is the first letter of our company's name, in combination with a centered, "cross" to represent, "Aid." Images also present are a mortar and pestle, the tools that represent pharmaceuticals in their early stages; compounding medicinal ingredients in contrast with the modern capsules, where medicines have now evolved. The color green represents plants from which many medicinal ingredients derive and is the color of life, and the blue represents trust and loyalty, the values our company holds on dear. Our slogan, "Remedy for Recovery" is the products we offer to better one's health in mind, body, and spirit to increase productivity and happiness.
